Enescu’s violin and piano music is a real treat to hear, and a real challenge to play. He was a remarkable composer, and, as you noted in your review, in far more cosmopolitan ways than most people think. I’m glad that his more “serious” music is making its way onto high profile recital programs again. It has been a while.
